Applied Kinesiology is the science of muscle testing. In 1974, Dr. George Goodheart, D.C. was simultaneously studying the Western System of Muscle testing and Chinese Medicine. Muslce testing was first developed in the 1930's by two chiropractors who found ways to isolate and test an individual muscle for relative strength, relative to that person and relative to that body part (leg muscles being stronger than arm muscles) , and by working with the weaker muscles and bringing them up to a par with the stronger counterparts they were able to increase athletic perfomance and to decrease recovery time for people involved in accidents. Dr. Goodheart used this knowledge and appled it to the Chinese medical model.
"Qi" (chee), is the foundation of Chinese medicine. Qi is the life force and flows throughout the body in distinct pathways known as "meridians." The pressure points are areas along these energy pathways where Qi has a tendency to stagnate. By stimulating the pressure points you re-establish the natural movement of Qi and health is restored. When you have uninhibited movement of Qi, you have optimal health.
I have studied Applied Kinesiolgy with Dr. John Thie, creator of the Touch For Health, system of Kinesiolgy, and have a teaching credential from the Touch For Health Institute. For the last two years I have studied with the world's most effective Kinesiology master, Jon Burness, in New Zealand.
I have over 40 years of experience in the healing arts and can help you to release physical and emotional trauma.
